Overview & Reviews
Power-adjustable pedals, a DVD-based navigation system, automatically locking doors and XM Satellite Radio are new options this year. Additionally, the instrument panel now sports a freshened monochromatic look. The North Face Edition package gets unique 17-inch wheels standard, while LT models get a new optional 17-inch wheel design.
- Class-leading engine power, soft highway ride, room for seven, extensive features list, simple controls.
- Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design, low-grade interior materials.

Superb ride - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By FLDave63 - December 1 - 2:00 amAfter four Jeep vehicles (Cherokee and Grand Cherokees), I truly did not expect to be buying a Chevy. One test drive in an EXT, after testing several other makes, and I found myself driving one home. I found it to be surprisingly nimble for its size. The interior is very comfortable, except that the seats are rather firm.

Great 7 Passenger Vehicle - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By Tom Friedel - November 7 - 5:20 amI must admit, I love the Trailblazer. It is not fun to drive considering it is like an oversize station wagon, but it does ride smooth like a car which is a big plus. I dont know where all the gas mileage figures are coming from. The sticker says 15 city. Someone mentioned they obtained 15 in the city. We do not pull a trailer, drive very conservatively, have clean filters etc and are lucky to get 13 mpg in the city. This is unacceptable for a straight 6 engine. GM - Where is your competitive crossover vehicle for the 7 passenger Toyota Highlander?? The build quality is good. The vehicle drives nice, has plenty of torque and the 4x4 is great for hunting.

Trailblazer is a big fun truck - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By ALE518 - October 31 - 10:00 amThis truck has plenty of passenger room and can be reconfigured easily to accomodate many large cargo loads as well. There are some areas in the interior where the plushness is crudely interrupted by hardware (bolts) and the exterior is made up of more plastic than I expected. However, overall this ride looks as nice as the ride is smooth!

Fair - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By AJG - March 19 - 2:00 amThe TrailBlaser handling in snow has not been what I expected. The rearend could get away very easily. The rear stereo controls do not come with headsets. It is the only way you can listen to second station. The front drink holders are to close the dash not allowing drinks to fit right.

GM Junk - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By Upset at my 1st Chev - February 15 - 9:50 pmI had never owned a Chevy SUV before and was excited to get a Trailblazer EXT. Great style, good features at a reasonable price. No quality. The 1st 3 months I had 9 problems with 2 trips in for an upshift problem that they claimed they could not find. GM suggested I find a dealer that had a tool to install that would monitor the problem, but I had to reseach and find the dealer that had it and go there. They had no interest or concern of the many problems or required trips to the dealer. If you are thinking of buying one, hopefully you do not get one of the many lemons they have out there.

V8 TrailBlazer EXT is a great, fun SUV - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By 04TBEXT - December 24 - 2:00 amMy 2004 TrailBlazer EXT has been a great ride for me. I would not have considered buying it had it not been available with the proven quality and power of the 5.3 Vortec V8. This TB is loaded with all avaialable options except for the DVD player and navigation system. I am very pleased with this SUV - it replaced a Ford Explorer.
